Less than a week after they pledged to skip states violating DNC rules on primary dates, Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama are already planning campaign stops in Florida, reports The Florida Masochist:
So the pledge is an empty gesture. Meant probably for voters living in Iowa, New Hampshire etc. It really shouldn't be surprising, I'll admit to being wrong about the timing, what serious Democrat or Republican hopeful wants to antagonize Florida voters or contributors? None, if they want to be elected President in November 2008.
Read the whole post and the news story at the link above. The candidates are claiming "loopholes" in the pledge and that they think the dispute will be resolved soon anyway. Right.
John Edwards isn't violating his pledge yet, having spent so much of his campaign war chest on haircuts, manicures, and pineapple-moose dung facials that he can't afford a ticket.
