It is a strong ad, and I completely agree it could be made stronger as you suggest.
We could even run different versions: as it is, a version splicing in Democratic speech quotes, and a version splicing in Democratic vote totals on key anti-terror initiatives.
It could only be the "Daisy ad" of 2006 with Democratic cooperation, however. They would have to scream bloody murder and make it a huge controversy. It is quite likely they would rise to the bait, though.
The actual "Daisy ad" ran only once, but generated such controversy that it was played over and over again on news programs for several days, essentially giving it free exposure nationally and painting the "nuclear cowboy" label on Goldwater indelibly in the public mind.

The purpose of this ad is to change the subject.
It brings back the Terrorism theme.
It serves its purpose, voters hate when you explicitly LINK to the Dems, let the local candidates do the dirty work.
This is fine. Nancy Johnson terror add is excellent.
