Lorie, Hardly cause for optimism. For starters, somehow they forgot Montana - which is looking very likely to be a loss in November.
Since they already show us losing 3 seats, then add Montana - that makes four.
Leaving Talent and the open seat of TN as MUST holds to keep control. Technically, we only need one of the two, but a 50/50 tie scares me for concern of another Jefford flip by someone.

For Pete's sake! I just saw they ignored Rhode Island as well! Who wrote that article? Patrick Star?
If Chafee loses the primary, RI is gone. And even if he wins, he has a serious fight in the general.
Lorie - you need a major update on this blog entry. Especially about the political winds blowing our way...

My bad on one detail. They don't have us losing three seats, just two with TN going in the tie column.
But they ignore MT and RI - so that means four losses even if we hold MO and TN.
We lose them both, we lose the Senate.

I'm sorry, but any political prognostication that can cite Texas or New York as senate battle ground state in 2006 isn't worth the pixels it displays. If Rudy was running in New York, it may well be a battle ground state. If Ann Richards was running in Texas, it might be a battle ground state. Absent compelling candidates from the other side, these are simply not competitive.
Now add in Montana and Rhode Island and you have to wonder if the people who selected these "battle ground states" have any clue or just randomly selected states.
