Great move in creating the site and getting Lorie and Alex here. It would be wonderful if you would consider adding DJ and Jayson to the mix here as well. Keeping my fingers crossed :)....good luck and thanks again!

I would love to see the race and polling coverage like the old dalythoughts http://www.dalythoughts.com/
Daly's been radio silent for about 6 months and he's still pulling in about 300 visits a day just to see if he has come back.
The key is that it gives you one stop shopping for every poll on the races, analysis on what the polls mean, notes on many news articles about the race with some commentary on what the subtext is and finally for fun the best guess predictions. And the polling reports isn't just a mathamatical crunching of the polls with all polls being equal, but some analysis based on the quality of the different polls, trends in the polls etc. Especially useful these days with rassmussen swinging so wildly in their polls.

I think that a slightly altered color scheme in each of the different Wizbang subdomains would help give each section its own distinct personality.
I realized today when I visited Polipundit that just seeing the colors/layout created a certain expectation of the type of content I would be encountering. Suffice to say, the experience was jarring.
Reflecting, I realized that I'm less likely to visit the different Wizbangs-- because it feels somehow like I'm revisiting the same site, banner image notwithstanding.
Oh, and while you're at it-- I want a sidebar tracker with all of AKM's latest polling/predictions in one easy to read chart. I figure AKM won't need to spend more than three hours a day keeping that updated. Chop chop.

a4g, that's exactly the plan for the new design. Each site will have a slightly different flavor but be recognizable as part of the network.
Mrs. Davis, perhaps you could expand a bit on your suggestion. I'm not sure which link button you're talking about.

Recruit all the former Polipunditers. Poli became ireelevant, but the others made the site worthwhile. And find some more like them. Polls, analysis, and pungent commentary.

The button under "The Wizbang Network" banner that shows the 3 most current stories for each sub-blog. I don't want to have to put each in the favorites bar if I can avoid it.
Having slept on it, I also don't understand the distinction between the main page and the politics page. Is it politics for the rest of us vs. politics for geeks? I think of Wizbang as a pretty political site and the distinction escapes me. I think they could fit on the main page comfortable and give you a lot more new stories per hour. Sports, Pop and Podcast make sense. The distinctions in Main, Politics and Bomb Squad escape me. I guess that's my problem, I don't understand what you're doing or why.

Definitely need links to this - and the other subsidiary Wizbangs - at the top of the main page.
Also, the "Contact" link on the top left just duplicates the "Credits" link. Pretty clever way to keep the ol' Inbox clear . . .

I've always loved this blog, but one thing that I would like to see in each section is a "recent comments" list.
Otherwise, Kevin, I congratulate you for Wizbang's success and wish you, well, continued success.

The one question on my mind is: Can blog blocs tip a local election? Whether it's a Rathergate-style expose or fundraising or whatever. I'm thinking of John Murtha, especially, but really any targeted district.
